  • No guarantee. This is just wishful thinking. Even if these are implemented, there is nothing that would prevent the health insurers from pocketing the savings without reducing costs for the consumer.

  • The profit percentage is not relevant, it's still profit based upon shady practices that if not morally questionable, pretty much evidence a lack of concern for the welfare of people. Basically this is why health insurance should not be for profit.

  • This is a bogus argument as there is no open, fair competition situation right now. An open market with fair competition would require that people have a choice and can make choices, but the reality is that those who want health insurance often cannot get it, so they have no choice.
